The Festival franco-ontarien is a major event for Francophones and Francophiles from Ontario to Canada. This festival, which offers as many concerts as entertainment for adults and children alike, was created on May 23, 1976 by Pierre DeBlois (president of the ACFO of Ottawa-Carleton at the time) and its primary mission is to celebrate French cultural pride and more specifically the Francophone community of Ontario. It is also a time for English speakers to discover more about French culture around the world (music, cuisine, etc.)
